Feeling, Faith and Fact

Three men were walking on a wall,
Feeling, Faith and Fact,
When Feeling got an awful fall,
And Faith was taken back.
So close was Faith to Feeling,
He stumbled and fell too,
But Fact remained,
And pulled Faith back
And Faith brought feeling too.

This poem has become a great help to me. I tend to focus so much on my feelings that I forget about the facts. It can apply to Marriage, Motherhood or our walk with God.
For example, we may feel unloved for whatever reason. Yet the fact is that we are loved even though we don't feel it at the moment. If we focus on what we feel like, we'll feel down. But if we focus on the fact that we are loved, we'll soon feel better!
I can't even understand my feelings sometimes! But if I let them control me, my life will be like a rollercoaster--up and down all the time.
I was feeling down thismorning and this poem came into my mind and set me straight!

  1. What a material of un-ambiguity and preserveness of valuable know-how on the
    topic of unpredicted emotions.
