Quality not Quantity
1Pe 2:2 “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”
It's how much milk a baby gets that's important not how long it drinks for! Sometimes a baby can feed for half an hour and get the same amount that another baby would get in 5 minutes.
Sometimes a baby is half asleep when feeding, so they can suck half-heartedly for ages. Other times they're wide awake and finished quickly.
It's quality not quantity that's important! Not how long(quantity) but how much(quality).
The same lessons applies to us when we read God's Word. It's not how long we read for that counts. Sometimes we can read for a whole hour and be half asleep or have our thoughts going all over the place. Whereas other times we may read for 5-10 minutes and it's really meaningful and helpful to us.
We may be proud that we take so much time to read the Bible, and yet not really be getting anything from it at all.
Or we may wish we had much more time to read the Bible, when the few minutes we do have we learn so much.
Just remember it's quality not quantity!!
