I heard this somebody say this recently "It's a privilege not a burden." She was talking about all she did for her children and family. What a great perspective! I'm sure it was also a burden, but it's about how you look at it.
We all have our own burdens in life. But are we able to see them as privileges?
A privilege is
...a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group.
...an advantage that only one person or group of people has.
...a special benefit that is available only to a particular person or group.
Whatever burdens you have are also privileges that only you have. A privilege that has been given to you for some reason. A privilege that gives you the advantage of life experience, empathy and more usefulness.
The Bible says to cast our burdens on Him because He cares for us. That is what we should do when we feel overwhelmed and burdened. But when you've done that, thank Him for the privilege!
